The NB-IoT protocol is a set of wireless cellular network communication rules designed to make full use of precious wireless spectrum resources and time resources to meet the needs of LPWA. Its role is to formulate a set of syntax, semantics and timing for information interaction. In short It is the rules that stipulate what language the communication participants use, what they mean, and who speaks who listens, and how long they speak.
NB-IoT protocol
NB-IoT is a wireless cellular network communication protocol, short for NArrow Band Internet of Things, which means narrowband Internet of Things, and is a low-power wide-coverage Internet of Things technology (LPWA). Narrowband only refers to the use of a bandwidth of 180KHz , Working in the operator’s authorized frequency band, NB-IoT has also been pushed to the forefront in the IT industry. NB-IoT technology is implemented based on LTE R13, so it is easily compatible with existing mobile networks, and it occupies an increasingly important position in IoT communications. Therefore, the three major operators are stepping up the network deployment of NB-IoT .
Three deployment methods of NB-IOT modules: independent deployment occupies 200kHz bandwidth, suitable for re-cultivation of GSM frequency band, GSM channel bandwidth is 200KHz, which just opens up space for NB-IoT 180KHz bandwidth, and there are 10KHz guard intervals on both sides ; LTE in-band deployment occupies 180KHz bandwidth and can be implemented by using any resource block in the middle of the LTE carrier; LTE guardband deployment occupies 180KHz bandwidth, using unused 180KHz bandwidth resource blocks in the LTE edge guard band for deployment.
